Fiat onramping is live for testing, powered by swapped.com. Users can now use app.hyperliquid.xyz without existing crypto assets. Options including credit card and bank transfer are supported in certain geographies. To try it out, select "Fiat" as the asset in the deposit modal. Fiat onramping is in initial phases of testing only. Feedback is greatly appreciated. Offramps, other payment methods, and other onchain assets will be added in the future.

Huge congratulations to TradeXYZ and S&P for this historic partnership. I'm honored that these teams choose to build on Hyperliquid. Seeing official S&P500 perpetual futures launch exclusively on Hyperliquid is a validation of everyone's past years of hard work: global access to decentralized finance, perpetual futures as 24/7 price discovery, and Hyperliquid upgrading the existing financial stack to house all of finance. The S&P500 is synonymous with "the market," a single number that captures the essence of the largest economy in the world. Looking forward to tracking the world's most important financial gauge 24/7 on the most liquid permissionless markets.

Over the past 2 weeks, RWA trading on Hyperliquid has repeatedly broken records, surpassing $1.3B in open interest and $1.4B in weekend volume. When traditional markets are closed, Hyperliquid is the premier venue for 24/7 price discovery on oil, metals, indices, and other essential assets. This is an important step towards housing all of finance.
HIP-4 is live on testnet. The first set of outcomes are recurring binary options on HyperCore mark prices. The interface at app.hyperliquid-testnet.xyz shows these outcome markets under "Predict" in the asset selector. As a reminder, outcomes are fully collateralized contracts that settle within a fixed range. They introduce non-linearity and dated contracts, and do not involve leverage or liquidations. Multi-outcome markets are also supported but are not part of the initial release plan. The initial mainnet release will be 1-day binary markets on BTC and HYPE. The first priority is to validate the technical implementation while avoiding complexities around outcome creation and settlement. The outcome trading API is similar to spot, with the key differences highlighted here: https://hyperliquid.gitbook.io/hyperliquid-docs/for-developers/api/asset-ids. Feedback and bug reports are appreciated.

CFTC @ChairmanSelig laid out an exciting roadmap for the Commission's top priorities at @MilkenInstitute's Future of Finance 2026 today: "I view Project Crypto as a historic initiative between the agencies to upgrade and modernize our rules and regulations and future-proof them for technologies like crypto...." "Many of the firms want to move onchain. The prior administration drove a lot of these firms and the liquidity offshore. The perpetuals markets are a great example of this. We've had perpetual futures contracts in crypto assets for a very long time[,] but they've developed offshore[.] We've got to bring that back to the United States. We need to have that liquidity here in the U.S...." "We're working towards getting perpetual futures, true perpetual futures, not long-dated contracts, here in the U.S. within the next month or so.... We're also working towards onchain markets, so we're looking to have clear guidance as to what sort of digital wallets would implicate our regulations. The prior administration really went after firms that were just offering software products...." "We're also working towards regulations that accommodate onchain software systems, so decentralized finance protocols and other types of blockchain networks.... We're going to make sure it's very clear as to what implicates the CFTC's regulations and what doesn't, and to the extent that an onchain software system or front-end does implicate our rules or regulations, we're modernizing and future-proofing those rules so that there's a place for all of that." HPC applauds Chairman Selig's forward-thinking approach to regulation and stands ready to support his crucial work ensuring that decentralized markets for perpetual derivatives thrive in the United States. 🇺🇸

Cross margin for HIP-3 will be enabled on the next network upgrade. As a reminder, HIP-3 cross margin is only compatible with unified account and portfolio margin. Deployers are recommended to enable cross margin for 1-2 lower volume assets that meet the cross margin requirements outlined in the Docs: https://hyperliquid.gitbook.io/hyperliquid-docs/hyperliquid-improvement-proposals-hips/hip-3-builder-deployed-perpetuals. This will provide users and interfaces an opportunity to test the new user flow without disruption to the majority of volume. Interfaces should not support trading cross margin for DEX abstraction users, and instead prompt users to either use isolated margin or enable unified account. As a reminder, market makers and high volume traders should use standard account abstraction. In particular, cross margin is not compatible with DEX abstraction. Cross margin on standard accounts only shares collateral between positions within the same DEX. See https://hyperliquid.gitbook.io/hyperliquid-docs/trading/account-abstraction-modes and https://t.me/hyperliquid_announcements/516 for more details.

Validators will vote on whether to delist OM around 8:00 UTC on 23 February. OM is being rebranded to MANTRA. If validators vote to delist an asset, the perps will settle to the 1 hour time weighted spot oracle price before delisting, and open orders will be canceled. Close any positions beforehand to avoid automatic settlement. After settlement, no new orders will be accepted.

I’m excited to support the @HyperliquidPC launch. The Hyperliquid ecosystem needs a policy voice that represents our core values in DC. I’ve gotten to know @jchervinsky and seen his principled and unwavering support of defi over the years. There is no better person to advocate for Hyperliquid and defi broadly in this critical time in policy discussions. HPC will champion the message that Hyperliquid and defi align with core American values: transparency, fairness, and financial freedom for all. Since the chain’s genesis three years ago, Hyperliquid has pushed the limits of decentralized financial infrastructure. It’s been an honor to work with such a passionate and diverse group of builders toward the ambitious goal of housing all of finance in a fair and transparent system. However, this decentralized stewardship and development meant that Hyperliquid lacked a unified voice in important policy discussions until now. At this point, Hyperliquid has grown to where “housing all of finance” is more than a tagline. There is a tangible and urgent possibility of upgrading the tech stack of the existing financial system, bringing immense value and accessibility to everyone. Democratizing finance requires education and advocacy for laws that protect users and builders alike. Global financial regulation will be shaped in the United States, and we must work to ensure that these new policies thoughtfully embrace the potential of the new financial system enabled by Hyperliquid. I’m confident that the team at HPC will take on this challenge and push for a clear, regulated path for defi to thrive.

Cross margin for HIP-3 For users: Cross margin has been enabled for HIP-3 DEXs on testnet. This is not enabled on mainnet yet, but is eligible for mainnet-level bug bounties as described here: https://hyperliquid.gitbook.io/hyperliquid-docs/bug-bounty-program. HIP-3 deployers must enable cross margin for a given asset before users can use cross margin to trade it. With unified account, all cross margined perps with the same collateral asset share margin, even across multiple DEXs. However, the assets across different DEXs will be protected up to their maintenance margin to avoid ADLs caused by large price moves on other DEXs. This novel “protected cross margin” system protects system solvency without sacrificing user experience. Cross margin is not intended for use with DEX abstraction, and interfaces should not allow these users to trade using cross margin. Users should use unified account or portfolio margin for the expected behavior of cross margin on HIP-3 assets. For HIP-3 deployers: Despite the system-level protection, users still take greater risk when using cross margin across DEXs with different deployers. To better protect users, mainnet validators will enforce that HIP-3 deployers only enable cross margin on assets that satisfy defined eligibility standards, including: sufficient observable liquidity, a reliable external oracle source, and resilience to price manipulation. In particular, each time the externalPerpPx of an asset moves more than 50% relative to the start of day price, validators will conduct a review to determine whether the deployer should be slashed due to manipulation. Assets where 50% daily moves are expected more than once a month are ineligible for cross margin and are subject to deployer slashing. For reference, cross, isolated, and isolated-only are margin modes: https://hyperliquid.gitbook.io/hyperliquid-docs/trading/margining#margin-mode, whereas portfolio margin, unified account, standard, and DEX abstraction are account abstraction modes: https://hyperliquid.gitbook.io/hyperliquid-docs/trading/account-abstraction-modes
By community request, you can now long or short with up to 3x leverage. Listing is not an endorsement of the project. Past performance does not guarantee future results. Do not trade assets you are unfamiliar with and do not understand the risks for. Exercise control. NFA. https://app.hyperliquid.xyz/trade/AZTEC

On app.hyperliquid.xyz, the default USDC deposit option for unified account users is now CCTP instead of the Arbitrum bridge. There is no change for users not using unified account. All users can choose from available USDC options in the Deposit and Withdraw flow. This is part of the phased migration to deprecate the Arbitrum bridge and migrate to native USDC.
Weekly Update Product & Tech + HyperCore will support outcome trading (HIP-4), a primitive that enables options and prediction markets. Development is currently underway on testnet + app.hyperliquid.xyz now defaults new accounts to unified account mode, which merges spot and perps balances for the same quote asset. DEX abstraction will be discontinued in approximately 1 week. Market makers and high volume automated users should disable DEX abstraction and use standard mode for higher L1 rate limits. See https://hyperliquid.gitbook.io/hyperliquid-docs/trading/account-abstraction-modes for details on account abstraction modes Trading + HIP-3 markets reached a new all-time high of $5.5B in 24-hour volume New Teams on the HyperEVM & HyperCore (in no particular order) + Ripple Prime clients can now trade on Hyperliquid, marking Ripple's first defi integration: https://x.com/Ripple/status/2019048504576864658 + FalconX prime brokerage clients can now trade on Hyperliquid: https://x.com/FalconXGlobal/status/2021012720498192676 + Zerion integrated Hyperliquid perps via builder codes: https://x.com/zerion/status/2019080961758241053 + Silhouette launched shielded trading of HYPE/USDC: https://x.com/silhouette_ex/status/2019006577575895336 + Coinbase added support for spot HYPE: https://x.com/CoinbaseMarkets/status/2019454256567181688 Community Highlights + Chris Ling shared an open source CLI to interact with Hyperliquid: https://x.com/chrisling_dev/status/2018332220117934193
In the next few days, app.hyperliquid.xyz will default new users to unified account mode. There is no breaking change for existing users, but the change will apply to new sub-accounts created by existing users. As a reminder, spot and perps balances are merged under unified account. This is generally a much requested UX improvement, but a phased rollout is to adequately inform users who may be implicitly relying on separate USDC spot and perps balances.
HyperCore will support outcome trading (HIP-4). Outcomes are fully collateralized contracts that settle within a fixed range. They are a general-purpose primitive that are useful for applications such as prediction markets and bounded options-like instruments. There has been extensive user demand in both of these areas, and builders will likely think of novel applications as well. Outcomes bring non-linearity, dated contracts, and an alternative form of derivative trading that does not involve leverage or liquidations. The outcome primitive expands the expressivity of HyperCore, while composing with other primitives such as portfolio margin and the HyperEVM. Outcomes are a work in progress and currently only being tested on testnet. Canonical markets based on objective settlement sources will be deployed once technical development is complete. Canonical markets will be denominated in USDH. Pending user feedback, the infrastructure will be extended to permissionless deployment.
Weekly Update Product & Tech + Unified account mode is live on mainnet and merges spot and perps balances for each quote asset. This is a prerequisite for supporting cross margin for HIP-3 DEXs and completing the portfolio margin implementation. See previous announcement for details Trading + HIP-3 markets reached new all-time highs of $1B in open interest and $4.8B in 24-hour volume.
