FET-USD will be delisted on June 12 at 08:00 UTC. This shorter than usual notice is due to a lack of clarity around the timing of the merger of FET, AGIX, and OCEAN to ASI. All positions will be settled at mark price, and open orders will be canceled. Close any positions beforehand to avoid automatic settlement. After settlement, FET-USD perps will be delisted, and no new orders will be accepted.
The first week of L1 points is complete. 700k points have been distributed.

Reminder: the Hyperliquid dev team does not profit from increased activity as it does not collect trading fees. On the contrary, it is entirely self-funded with exponentially increasing burn. There is not a single private investor. >$25M of revenue has gone back to the community through HLP. Another project could have easily pocketed some or all of these profits. What’s the point of all this? To build something that really matters. When finance moves onchain, it will bring trillions of dollars of value to billions of users. It won’t move for a half-baked system, but the Hyperliquid L1 has a shot. Some users think that Hyperliquid is already a complete platform. This is flattering, and the Hyperliquid community is indeed one-of-a-kind! But as someone spending most waking moments pushing Hyperliquid to its full potential, I’m confident that there is a long way to go. In particular, the following are all complex, multi-phase undertakings: 1) deploying the native EVM 2) seamlessly integrating the EVM with existing native components (e.g., order books) 3) fully decentralizing the network On top of that, the following are continuously being improved: 1) high TPS and low latency L1 with HyperBFT consensus 2) performant financial primitives including fully onchain spot and perp order books, vaults, oracles, automated liquidity and account abstractions 3) state-of-the-art and community-owned order book liquidity via HLP When you see a 100x, you drop everything to make that a reality. Factors of <2 are insignificant. Big things take time to build, but nothing else is worth building.

Permissionless user-deployed spot will go live on mainnet within the next 60 minutes. You can read more in the Docs: https://hyperliquid.gitbook.io/hyperliquid-docs/hyperliquid-improvement-proposals-hips/hip-1-native-token-standard It is strongly recommended to try exactly what you want to deploy on testnet first, so you don’t run into issues on mainnet. After bidding and paying gas, you can take your time to check each step, as there is no time limit for deploying. This is a complex process, so it is possible to get in a state where your deployment is stuck. It is the deployer's responsibility to try on testnet first; gas cannot be refunded if your deployment is stuck. The dev team does not endorse any user-deployed spot asset; this is meant to be tech that anyone can use. Do not trade assets you are unfamiliar with and do not understand the risks for. Always do your own research. In addition, updates have been made to the UI to help users navigate trading spot. For example, there is now a toggle between “Strict” and “All” spot assets in the token selector.
The Hyperliquid L1 will support a native EVM. The EVM will be augmented to atomically compose with native components on the Hyperliquid L1: HIP-1 assets, spot trading, perp trading, and other defi primitives. Today, Hyperliquid already offers massively scalable throughput for the most heavily used defi operations. The EVM will unlock the full breadth of applications that do not require heavy optimization, such as bridging, auctions, lending, and novel user applications. The EVM is not an isolated feature, but rather an integrated approach towards scaling the L1. By routing the highest throughput transactions through performant native components, the long tail of applications can enjoy ample blockspace. By empowering users to build on the EVM, the native order books will benefit from trustless bridging, new assets, and improved liquidity. As one example of EVM composability with native components, HIP-1 assets will feature an atomic transfer with their corresponding ERC-20 contracts. This interaction will enable Hyperliquid L1 to become the premier platform to build, launch, and trade tokens. Builders will be able to deploy smart contracts with familiar EVM tooling and connect instantly to the CEX-like trading experience that users love. As the Hyperliquid L1 matures, users will no longer need centralized exchanges or other blockchains. This is a relatively large undertaking. The testnet launch is expected to go live in the coming months.

DEX Screener has integrated the Hyperliquid L1. This marks their first integration of an order book. You can now track $PURR on https://dexscreener.com/hyperliquid/0xc1fb593aeffbeb02f85e0308e9956a90 New user-deployed assets will also be tracked automatically once live.

The Hyperliquid L1 will be transitioning to HyperBFT, a custom consensus algorithm written from the ground up. The implementation is in final stages of testing on testnet. The mainnet migration is expected to happen in the coming weeks. The Hyperliquid L1 is one of a few chains in production with real demand above 20k TPS. With a scope expanding far beyond perps trading (more on that later), it is crucial to optimize the foundational consensus algorithm. Like most modern consensus algorithms, HyperBFT is based on Hotstuff and subsequent improvements. Huge thanks to the researchers who continue to push the boundaries of what is possible on a decentralized state machine. Some properites of HyperBFT: 1) TPS will be massively improved. The current bottleneck for the Hyperliquid L1 is Tendermint, which caps out at 20k orders/second. HyperBFT can support up to 100x the throughput, though in practice the state machine execution will be a bottleneck at around 200k orders/second. 2) Consensus does not block on execution. Unlike Ethereum and Tendermint, the consensus algorithm can continue sequencing transactions without waiting for the hash of the current block being executed. 3) Confirmation latency will improve and stabilize, with block times bounded only by the network delay. Unlike earlier BFT algorithms such as Tendermint, there is no synchronous timescale baked into the consensus algorithm itself under normal block production. Blocks are produced as quickly as a quorum of validators can communicate. This property is sometimes called "optimistic responsiveness." The mainnet rollout will be incremental, focusing first on stability at performance parity with the current L1 before cranking up throughput.

First time I've seen Hyperliquid pay to long BTC and ETH perps 60% APR if hedging on Binance

The scope of Hyperliquid has 10xed twice since inception First time was the realization that the only way to build a scalable perps DEX was to build an L1 from scratch Second time is now. With a critical mass of users and liquidity, there's a path to expand the infrastructure to house all of finance Excited to share more technical details over the coming weeks. It's a long road ahead, but nothing easy is worth doing

What will it take to move finance onchain? Binance (CEX) + Solana (L1) + Tower (MM) = ? Am I missing anything?
HIP-1 and HIP-2 will soon open up for users to permissionlessly deploy on the Hyperliquid L1. To recap, HIP-1 is a standard to deploy native tokens and onchain spot order books. HIP-2 permanently commits liquidity to a spot order book for HIP-1 tokens and synergizes with users' own order book liquidity. Since their announcement, HIP-1 and HIP-2 were adjusted based on user feedback. The most significant addition is that an HIP-1 genesis distribution can now include existing HIP-1 tokens as an anchor. I.e., at the genesis of the new token, a specified portion will be distributed proportionally to holders of another HIP-1 token. The UX to deploy HIP-1 and HIP-2 is still technical, so users or teams interested in deploying are encouraged to reach out to try it on testnet first. The mainnet release will be gated to a few deployments to test the technical details before becoming permissionless. Please open a ticket in the Discord server if you are interested.
