HYPE

HYPE is the native token of Hyperliquid, the layer-1 blockchain purpose-built for high-performance derivatives trading. The token plays multiple roles within the ecosystem: it is used for staking to secure the HyperBFT consensus network, for gas fees on HyperEVM (the EVM-compatible execution environment), and as a component of the platform's fee and incentive structures. Hyperliquid's architecture combines an on-chain order book with sub-second block times, enabling a trading experience comparable to centralized exchanges while maintaining self-custody guarantees. The platform hosts both native perpetual markets and HIP-3 builder-deployed markets. HYPE's value proposition is directly tied to the growth of trading volume, the expansion of the HIP-3 builder ecosystem, and the adoption of HyperEVM for DeFi applications.
