On Paragon (HIP-3), the index is priced via Pyth Network oracle feeds with daily constituent updates and sub-second refresh, falling back to a weighted median across eight exchanges when Pyth is unavailable. OTHERS trades 24/7/365 and isolates the mid-cap and small-cap segment of the crypto market, filtering out the outsized influence of BTC, ETH, and other mega-cap tokens. Traders use it to express views on risk appetite in the crypto long tail — a rising OTHERS index suggests speculative capital flowing into smaller projects, while a decline signals rotation toward blue-chip crypto assets.
