HYPE

HYPE is the native token of Hyperliquid, the layer-1 blockchain purpose-built for high-performance derivatives trading. The token plays multiple roles within the ecosystem: it is used for staking to secure the HyperBFT consensus network, for gas fees on HyperEVM (the EVM-compatible execution environment), and as a component of the platform's fee and incentive structures. Hyperliquid's architecture combines an on-chain order book with sub-second block times, enabling a trading experience comparable to centralized exchanges while maintaining self-custody guarantees. The platform hosts both native perpetual markets and HIP-3 builder-deployed markets. HYPE's value proposition is directly tied to the growth of trading volume, the expansion of the HIP-3 builder ecosystem, and the adoption of HyperEVM for DeFi applications. Traders can access up to 10x leverage using USDe as margin collateral. This market supports cross margin under Unified Account or Portfolio Margin mode.
